Hi Chris

Call 211 for information in regards to any resources available such as shelters and anything else they can help you with.

I know there are food banks in your state and you can call 866 3 hungry for food resources..

how about checking Craigslist.org and other on line places for a roomate ?

In my blog are job sites to sign up with and a good one is snagajob.com

Oh I saw this lady who has three children and she is in your city not trying to match make but maybe she can offer information for your city too.

here is her page here

Good luck

There is a program through most work sites, our was called Colorado Works. They pay you to get training. I helped my daughter get into a Medical Transcription school. You train at home and then they help you find Dr.s in your area after you graduate. You can make payments each month and as long as they are on time you can get your ceritficate and start working and pay off as you go. They are located in Fort Collins Colorado, should be able to find them online.

Now the real help is from God, He will provide. Of course He has to use us as his hands and feet and sure most people will just say they will pray for you, just so you don't ask them for anything. Yet God will get what you need to you no matter what obstacles seem to be in your way.

I have a grandaughter with CP so I understand the work before you, and God can handle that too.

Stop looking and start believing that God does answer and its God's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. If you have struggled and prayed and asked and it appears there is no sign of help in sight, it is now that you must rest and release it totally into God's hands and KNOW.

My help cometh from God who made heaven and earth. If He did that, don't you believe He can help you?

I will know that you are blessed with all you need, pressed down and running over into an abundance to share.

We all go through times in our lives where we feel alone and just need a friend to talk to.... I have a terminally ill son and go through those times often..  Just to let anyone who needs to talk or vent, I will always have an ear and open heart to help you through it...

You must see this if you like to help causes or others.......

I found this really neat website where you can help many wonderful causes with the click of a mouse. I am sort of new to this web thing so you may already be aware of it but thought I'd add it anyway. I have a little girl with Cerebral Palsey which makes it difficult for me to do as much hands on volunteering as I would like. We visit the nursing homes, send cards and make little gifts for others, but as far as volunteering onsite, I have found it hard in my situation. This is a great way to do something special and not even hae to leave your home.

It's called care2connect and it has petitions for an array of causes. Pick one, pick a few or make a day of it. Either way, your helping. It's also something great to do with your chidren. A wondefu way to spend time with them and teach them compassion, caring and kindness. My daughter and I are going to spend some time this evening working on some. It is the holiday season and we all can make a difference with the simple act of kindness, no matter how small and it is something we can all do. Thank U

Please, also see my homepage and see if you have any of the information I am searching for. I woud deeply appreciate it. God bless and happy holidays

Hi, faithfulmommy thanks for your caring reply... Why dont you start a freecycle in your area its much easier then you think. You can start it in yahoo groups and it only takes like 5 mintues. All it takes is one to make the first move and something so wonderful as freecycle grows fast on its own. Megan

Hi Megan, Thanks for the heads up. We do not really have a freecycle in my county. They have one for knox but it's over an hour away from me and they do not allow shipping or offering items for ship. I tried to get accepted into their group but wouldn't accept me because I am not in Knox county. Seems a shame though. It shouldn't matter if one is willing to ship items to someone who needs them and the one who needs can afford the shipping. Thank U for the suggestion. God bless

I pledge 100% of everything for advice

By faithfulmommy - on Nov 21, 2006

I will pledge 100% of what I have to give, regardless of pledges, to whomever can use it but since this is a pledge I think I have to handle it this way. I have to pledge the following - toys (dollar store toys but have been loved and cared for), clothing in sizes 3/4 little girls and several sizes large boys (again, not fancy or expensive brands but clean and warm) and time to volunteer to send letters, cards etc. to people who would enjoy them for the holiday. I also pledge my friendship, prayers and a listening ear to whoever is in need of it. What I ask you to pledge is this......Advice. If you have no advice to pledge, please pledge the same to someone else who needs it. Your friendship, prayers, kind words of encouragement and support can mean more than any material things to someone in need.

My name is Tina. I have two children Macy age six (seven in another week) and Jared age fifteen. I have recently been forced from my job to stay at home and care for my daughter which has cerebral palsy. This was sudden and unexpected and has put me in a hardship for the holidays. It has also put me in a severe hardship with my home and bills. I desperatly need to find legitimate work from home in time to take care of christmas for my children. I have already been scammed once with assembling at home work and can't seem to find anything that is truly legitimate. I am at the end of my rope and heading for a breakdown.

I am not some lazy person who has sat back and waited for a job to come to me. I have searched since the day I was forced to leave my job of three years but it seems that everything that I find either requires some huge investment or is a scam. I am a payment away from losing my home if I do not find something soon. Not to mention christmas coming up and I am barely hanging on to my utilities. I have no money for christmas so I certainly can't afford a big investment into something. I just really need some advice on legitamate work at home opps. I don't expect to find something that requires no investment as much as I wish but looking to find something with very little investment if possible. When I say little, I honestly mean very little money. I mean something that would cost less than a water bill because I would be taking my water bill funds to invest in hopes of earning it back before they cut me off.

I am simply in desperate need to find some kind of work in time to buy my kids christmas presents and items for the holidays. I am a hard worker, reliable and determined so I will work to my fullest potential. I just need something I can trust and make a living to avoid me losing our home. Also, I do not mean to sound greedy or selfish in asking about the following because I know my problems fail in comparison to many but I have really just hit rock bottom all at once it seems and don't know what to do. I seen something on the site regarding grants for home repairs and can't seem to find it anymore. I am in desperate need of het in my home and flooring (carpet, linolium anything that will insulate the house so it is not so cold). We got this house when I was still able to work (we needed a place badly) and had intended on fixing it up but with my sitution, I am not going to be able to do anything anytime soon and with winter coming, we are going to be in trouble with no heat. When we got our home, it had only plywood on the living room and kitchen floors where it had been water damaged and had not been fixed. I have looked for remnants of carpet or linolium to put down until I was able to afford to fix it but have had no luck. I can use stack heaters but will likely not be able to afford the utility bill they will run up.

I beleive the grant was government and the way I feel is, I have paid taxes and although a simple thank you from the good ole GOV would have been nice lol.....am desperatly in need of repair to get heat. If anyone can give me some advice or knows anything about these grants please let me know. I am praying it is not a long process because it is getting cold here the last few days.

Now for my pledge....I pledge any of the things I have to give above for any advice I can get on the things mentioned above. If you need any of these, contact me and it's yours. I can't afford to ship anything but the cards and maybe a lite something but I will help you find a way to get it shipped. God knows I would cover it if I could but I am living by borrowing from my utilities now and that doesn't leave much. Please just let me know if you need any of it and we will find a way. I just really appreciate any input. Thank U

I appreciate this site, everyone involved with it and everything it represents. God bless every one of you and have a blessed holiday
